Billion-worth initiatives

Nguyen Trung Thong, DDK Vietnam Co., Ltd (Thuan An City) is an example in the company's emulation movement. He studied in industrial electrical engineering college, compared to many people in the company his educational level is still low. However, he learns every day to improve his professional knowledge and introduced innovations to his production line. Every month, his team has at least 3-4 initiatives. Because he works at a company specializing in electronic products, there are many automatic lines and modern machines, forcing team members to improve themselves every day. During five years working at the company, he himself does not remember how many initiatives he has.

Nguyen Trung Thong said it used to have two people on automatic conveyor belts. But his team researched and launched initiatives, thus this line now only needs one person to operate the machine. His initiatives have brought great profits to the business. “The emulation movements are launched and implemented by the company's Trade Union every year. I myself step by step implement, study, and perfect every little thing, set goals to strive for... ", Nguyen Trung Thong said.

Another example is Nguyen Thai Nguyen, Foster Electronics Co., Ltd. (Thu Dau Mot City). To become the leader of the design team for vibrating devices on phones, electronic toys, music players of a large company, it requires him to constantly improve his skills, improve his personality, and communication skills. He said: “Having worked with Japanese experts for many years, I found that they are thoughtful and meticulous in every detail from walking, speech, and manners. Since then, I think of the emulation movements that I am carrying out, especially the movement of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and lifestyle" launched all levels and branches is very meaningful, helping each of us to improve and become more mature every day”.

Help organize a strong trade union

In addition to good and creative workers being commended, there are also many responsible and thoughtful Trade union officials who are silently dedicating themselves to the job. They are not only the ones who communicate and launch emulation movements among members and workers, but also contribute many good initiatives, build a prosperous life for workers, and build a strong business culture.

A few years ago, as there were cases of forgetting things, they were lost and could not be found, Nguyen Duy Phuong, Trade Union President of Compass 2 Co., Ltd. (Thuan An City), concerned himself with finding a way to stop the above situation. Because this not only adversely affected the working environment, but people who forget or drop their property also faced difficulties. Hence, he launched the initiative to “pick up the dropped, return it to the lost", which was approved by all company leaders and workers.

In order for this model to work effectively, Mr. Phuong balanced financial resources of the Trade Union, asked for an additional 2% of the company's basic salary/employee to set up a fund. Thereby, the company's trade union offers a reward for the person who "picks up the dropped, returns it to the lost" with the lowest level of 300,000 VND/time, the highest is 2 million VND/time; depending on the value of the items picked up, there is a corresponding reward, plus a certificate of merit awarded by the company's union. So only in the first month, 5 people received certificates of merit from the trade union. Until now, more than 50 people have received certificates of merit for this.

Many presidents and vice presidents of trade unions in enterprises in the province have constantly come up with good initiatives for fire prevention, fighting, ambulance, production, and care for children of workers, poor workers, accidents, dangerous diseases... Many trade unions cooperate with business leaders to set up funds to take care of workers' lives, not only helping workers stabilize their lives, but also helping businesses stabilize production.

For example, at Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd (Thuan An City), since 2010, the company's trade union has cooperated with the factory to build a "Mutual Fund". Each month, the trade union contributes VND10 million to the fund, the factory donates VND10 million. Since then, the fund has always been maintained at VND 400 million. This fund is used to support especially difficult cases, painful diseases... The level of support for some cases is up to 10 million VND/person.

Trade union members and employees of Binh Duong are very active and creative. They are working hard and being creative every day to improve their skills, enhance work efficiency, and make positive contributions to business development.
