Workers’ Month and Week 2016 launched in Di An

Di An town’s Labor Union, Youth Union and Women’s Union have just co-held a ceremony to launch the Workers’ Month and Week 2016, in attendance of over 1,000 trade union officials, representatives of businesses, Youth Union members and workers.

At the ceremony, the organizers donated 60 gifts worth VND500,000 each to needy workers, 20 worth VND500,000 each to the offspring of needy workers and 21 worth VND1mln each to workers hit by workplace accidents. An art performance entitled “Singing with young workers” was also organized.

In addition, the organizers kicked off a contest on the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and Deputies to People's Councils; organized booths selling goods at basic price, providing free medical check-up, medicine, legal consultancy, employment information…for workers after the ceremony.
