Thu Dau Mot city People's Committee, the project holder of preserving and developing Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village in combination with tourism. Accordingly, the project focuses on the contents of building an overall craft village, planning and building a concentrated production area for lacquer enterprises to ensure environmental issues, building a place to display products common to craft villages; at the same time, combine the construction of sightseeing tours to introduce the products of the craft village to domestic and foreign tourists. The total cost of the project is VND 219 billion.
Currently, Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee is reviewing and editing documents for local adjustment of the 1/2000 zoning plan according to the comments of departments and agencies. In order to speed up the project, Thu Dau Mot city has also implemented in parallel the detailed planning of 1/500 scale Tuong Binh Hiep craft village. The People's Committee of Tuong Binh Hiep ward has organized to collect comments from the local community regarding the plan.
The People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot city has also conducted a survey and developed a plan to install the welcome gate system with indication signboards to Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village conservation and development area. It is expected to arrange the greeting gate of the craft village on Ho Van Cong road, which is about 200-300m from the intersection of Ho Van Cong - Binh Duong Highway and about 200-300m from Lo Lu Road intersection with Ho Van Cong. In addition, large signboards are arranged at main roads and small signs at secondary roads.
The project is divided into 2 investment phases of Phase 1 (2023-2025) to implement items on roads of Tuong Binh Hiep ward, technical infrastructure of lacquer villages and works of gates, fences, ancestral pagodas, museums, exhibition and presentation areas along with shops of souvenirs at an estimated cost of VND 125.63 billion and Phase 2 after 2025 to implement the items of wastewater treatment area and service area at estimated cost of VND 49.68 billion.
