World traveler arrives in Vietnam

Update: 06-02-2014 | 00:00:00
Peleg Cohen, who left his home in Israel nearly nine years ago to “live his dream” and travel around the world, is now in Vietnam for a one-month visit. “I traveled to the Far East and landed in Bangkok and from there went straight to Thailand’s magical islands, which seemed to me at the time like heaven on earth,” he shared. “I also traveled to North America and the Caribbean. Afterwards I moved on to Mexico and crossed through Central America all the way to Brazil, sleeping in everything from pyramids to whore houses, island hopping and losing myself in food and history,” he said. “My backpack weighs 13 kg (28 lbs), and once I had a tent, but I lost it after eating some very potent African mushrooms. I love photography and getting acquainted with new cultures”, he added. While in Vietnam, Peleg will tour Sapa, Hanoi, Ha Long and Ho Chi Minh City. He said he is very impressed by the 2014 Lunar New Year celebrations in Vietnam, as well as the hospitality and friendliness of its people. He plans to travel to Cambodia, Myanmar and the Philippines to mark his 100-country journey before leaving Southeast Asia. VOV
