Young people innovate, create in digital era

In order to fulfill the goal of meeting the digital transformation under the resolution of provincial Youth Union Congress for the 2022-2027 tenure, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have upheld the dynamic and creative role of youth with technology application in the era of digital development, contributing to the development of the province and the country.

Technology application

Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has just coordinated with VNPT Binh Duong to sign a cooperation agreement to deploy the program "Binh Duong youth install VNPT Money wallet - Construction of a new tenure". Accordingly, for each wallet installed and identified successfully, VNPT Binh Duong will contribute VND 20,000 per valid wallet to provincial Youth Union to carry out youth works in the new term. The specific projects are to contribute to the donation of CQ boats to Truong Sa launched by the Central Youth Union; build the statue of Ly Tu Trong; donate charity, “red scarf” houses, dream rooms for disadvantaged children; donate laptops to the Youth Unions of communes, wards and townships in the province.

Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union said: The program "Binh Duong youth install VNPT Money wallet – Construction of a new tenure" is a very meaningful program, a solution to implement the Resolution of the 11th provincial Youth Union Congress. The installation is completely free. The installation method is guided by provincial Youth Union on the fanpage of Binh Duong youth. Young people are the pioneering force in the digital transformation work, so this will be a practical program to deploy information technology application solutions for young people in Binh Duong."

After the program was implemented, officials and employees at provincial Youth Union simultaneously installed VNPT-Money wallet. Along with that, communal-level Youth Unions guided Youth union members to participate in the program. The Youth Union of Thanh Phuoc ward in Tan Uyen town worked with the Youth Union branches of Cay Cham, Du Khanh and guided them how to install and use the VNPT Money wallet application with 32 installations, contributing to building youth works in the new tenure of provincial Youth Union.

In 2022, provincial Youth Union has implemented digital transformation in various fields. In October, provincial Youth Union implemented an online form on the basis of 3D virtual reality space with many vivid images to propagandize and deploy activities participating in the digital transformation process at provincial Youth Union Congress. Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also focused on applying information technology in the organization of the congress, implementing the attendance of delegates by technology; built an application providing information related to the congress for delegates. On the other hand, provincial Youth Unions at all levels organized various activities to disseminate the Youth Union's work, children and teenagers’ movements in various forms such as infographics, short video clips and vivid visual publications on Facebook and Zalo pages, thereby helping young people and people easily access information.

Building up a smart city

Provincial Youth Unions at all levels have carried out youth works on applying technology and digital transformation to meet people's needs. For example, Di An city’s Youth Union has carried out a youth work on "Application of information technology in propaganda and introduction of Di An city". The work synthesizes documents introducing the city, streets named after heroes, famous historical sites in the city, and legal pages, audiobooks and information on activities of the city's Youth Union… The documents are encrypted and can be easily looked up by anyone via scanning NFC tags. The city’s Youth Union has made 6 information lookup posts made of durable materials, with a size of more than 1.2 meters and located at Di An theater park, 4 high schools, continuing education-vocational education center in the city.

Noticeably, the local Youth Union branches have carried out digital transformation to serve the settlement of administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for the people. The Youth Union branches of the city’s State agencies, Division of Natural Resources and Environment and Urban Management Division have jointly implemented a youth work on "Application to look up administrative procedures in Di An city". The application provides necessary information about administrative procedures in such fields as general information, implementation steps, documents to be prepared, processing time, forms, fees... Besides, these Youth Union branches have integrated useful information about Di An city, biographies of street names, historical sites in the city and useful legal information… Information lookup posts are placed at the city’s Public Administration Service Center. The works are used to show the creativity of the city's youth in participating in the local socio-economic development.

According to Di An city’s Youth Union Standing Committee, in the coming time, the city’s Youth Union will coordinate with all-level authorities and sectors to continue installing QR codes to introduce the local historical sites in public places throughout the city, quickly meeting people's needs for information.
