Youngsters in Phu Giao voluntarily take part in new rural construction

In the last tenure, Phu Giao district’s Youth Union was proactive to set up and realize action programs on new rural construction.

Thanks to propaganda work well realized, Youth Union members in the district obviously knew about the content, goal and significance of new rural construction, contributing to creating a movement “Youth Union members joining hands in new rural construction”…

The district’s Youth Union actively got involved in building rural infrastructure facilities, supporting sci-tech transfer, giving vocational training for rural youths, constructing houses of compassion, setting up youth cooperative groups…The whole district now has more than 40 youths with business models, helping them rise up out of poverty and develop home based business. Through “Voluntary Saturday” and “Green Sunday” programs, the local Youth Union members cleaned up rural roads, dredged canals, removed illegal advertising boards, planted green trees…

After five years of the “Youths joining hands in new rural construction” movement, the district built an entertainment area for children, 10 houses of compassion for youths in need of housing, 4 works on clean water, 5 rural roads with a total length of 7.8kilometers, “Lighting rural road” works in Tan Long commune’s hamlet 5 and Phuoc Hoa commune’s hamlet 1B…

In the coming time, the district’s Youth Union will further strengthen propaganda work, raising awareness of Youth Union officials and members on new rural construction to better uphold their volunteer spirit via practical and concrete actions; actively support rural youths to promote business models, generate jobs for them…
