Youth paying tribute

In the tenure of 2022-2027, provincial Youth Unions at all levels and Youth Union members will focus on implementing, regularly deploying and promoting education on revolutionary morality and historical traditions. These activities aim at fostering and enhancing patriotism and national pride for young people.

Traditional education

The Youth Union branch of Trung Thang quarter in Di An city’s Binh Thang ward has just organized the July activity with the theme of "Paying debt of gratitude - when drinking water,  remember its source". At the session, members of the Youth Union branch learnt about Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27). Accordingly, the Youth Union branch propagandized President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings on gratitude to heroes, martyrs and revolutionary contributors among young peoople.

In July of gratitude, provincial Youth Unions at all levels deployed a series of thematic activities around the content of " Paying debt of gratitude - when drinking water, remember its source”. The Youth Union branch of provincial Center for Youth Activities has coordinated with the center’s Party cell to organize a meeting at the historical relic site of Mach Mang and Ma 35 in Di An city’s Tan Binh ward. The center's Youth Union members learnt about the history of the relic site, offered incense and flowers in memory of heroes and martyrs. The Youth Union branch also orientated Youth Union members with right information, raised their vigilance against false and distorted information sources of hostile forces.

Not only propagandizing among youth, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have also actively made traditional education among students with “return-to-the-root” trips and concentrated propaganda activities. The Youth Union branch and Young Pioneer Organization branch of Di An ward in Di An city has just organized a journey to the "red address" with the theme of "Traditional pride - Following in his father's footsteps" for the local teenagers and children. Joining the journey, they came to offer incense and flowers at the Di An train depot monument and the memorial house to heroic martyrs of the 4th Army Corps. They also visited and learnt about the revolutionary history at the 4th Army Corps Museum. The journey to the "red address" was one of the activities to help teenagers and children understand more about the local historical sites and educate them to express their deep gratitude to martyrs who sacrificed for national independence.

Within the framework of traditional education for teenagers and children, the Youth Union of An Dien commune in Ben Cat town has just coordinated with the local Veterans Association to organize a traditional talk for more than 300 students of An Dien Secondary School. Through the talk, they better understood the history and meaning of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27) while educating them about gratitude and remembering the merits of heroes, martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, revolutionary contributors who bravely fought and sacrificed their blood and bones for our country's independence...

The thematic activities and propaganda sessions of provincial Youth Unions at all levels will help young people be more proud of the glorious tradition of building and defending the nation, improving the sense of responsibility, striving for studying, working and making dedication.

“When drinking water, remember its source”

Paying tribute to the great sacrifices and contributions by heroes, martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, and revolutionary contributors is the responsibility of today's young generation. Deeply imbrued with the nation's good morals and traditions, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have organized a variety of activities "When drinking water, remember its source", expressing respect and gratitude to wounded soldiers, martyrs and revolutionary contributors.

Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has just visited, expressed gratitude and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers; former Youth Union cadres who are war invalids and policy beneficiaries in Thu Dau Mot city. During the visit, leaders of the Youth Union’s  Central Committee and provincial Youth Union extended best regards  and expressed their deep affection and gratitude to heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes, martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers who have devoted and sacrificed themselves for national independence and freedom.

To mark the 76th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day, provincial Youth Unions at all levels  have simultaneously organized activities of "Paying debt of gratitude", lighting candles in gratitude at martyr's cemeteries, organizing gratitude visits to heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, revolutionary contributors, etc.

According to provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, provincial Youth Union’s task and solution in the educational work for the 2022-2027 tenure is to focus on organizing political programs and activities in a systematic, synchronous and widespread manner. Provincial Youth Unions at all levels have organized forums, talk shows, youth festivals... on the occasion of major holidays. They have also held “return-to-the-root” programs, “paying debt of gratitude” activities, upgraded historical and cultural relics and upheld their values ​.
