Along with blooming flowers welcoming the 2025 Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, the volunteer movement among youth is also flourishing. In response to the peak campaign for community services launched by provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation, Youth Unions at all levels are preparing resources to bring the warmth of spring to those facing difficult circumstances during the 2025 Tet festival. This campaign not only focuses on caring for youth and the poor in the province, but also extends its efforts to support poor people in mountainous and border areas.
This year's peak campaign towards the community during the 2025 Tet festival is being launched by provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation through various programs for different groups. For children-teenagers, workers and families facing difficulties in the province, Youth Union members will focus on implementing programs, namely "Spring for Children", "Spring Journey of Love" and "Tet Meals". Through these programs, Youth Union members in the province will mobilize and contribute resources to give gifts and assist those in need, ensuring that they have a full Tet, in line with the spirit of "leaving no one behind".
For poor people in the northern mountainous provinces, Youth Union members will bring the warmth of spring through programs, namely "Spring Volunteer Campaign", "Winter Volunteer Campaign", "Warm Clothes for Children"… Depending on each specific area and targeted group, gifts will be appropriately prepared by Youth Unions at all levels. The "Warm Clothes for Children" program will provide warm clothing for children in remote areas, so they can go to school during the chilly end-of-year weather while "Spring Volunteer” campaign" and "Winter Volunteer campaign are focused on supporting ethnic communities in the northern highlands. After Typhoon No. 3, people in the northern mountainous regions are still struggling to recover from damage. Moreover, this year, forecasts predict even harsher cold spells than last year, which will make more difficult conditions for many families. Anticipating these challenges, Youth Union members of Binh Duong will mobilize resources to bring warmth to ethnic minority people in Lao Cai province, ensuring that they have a joyful and warm Tet.
In addition to the above mentioned programs, Youth Union members in the province will carry out visits and gift-giving activities for children and soldiers who are guarding the border in Binh Phuoc province and the Central Highlands. The gifts sent to the border this spring will not only include food, jams and sweets, but also clothing, notebooks, bicycles, computers, medicine and sufficient funds to carry out projects on lighting rural streets and building playgrounds for children… The recipients of these gifts are not only individuals facing difficult circumstances, but also organizations responsible for implementing projects as well as officers and soldiers at border posts. Under the tradition of "drinking water, remembering its source", every spring, youth in the province also show their gratitude by supporting the local beneficiary policy families. A portion of the resources allocated for this group has already been planned in advance by provincial Youth Unions at all levels.
Youth volunteering for the sake of the community is not only about giving, but also about receiving. The above mentioned volunteer programs provide an opportunity to forge the spirit of enthusiasm and ignite the willingness to serve the community, which is something the local Youth Union members gain with every trip they take.
