Recently, the Youth Union at all levels in the province has been actively implementing digital transformation activities with the aim of raising awareness for Youth Union officials and pioneering youth members in applying digital technology to serve their lives and socio-economic development.

The Di An Youth Union carries out the project to guide looking up, researching historical relics, and red addresses through QR codes.

Assisting the public

The Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee has played a core role in digital transformation activities. It has coordinated and advised on the establishment of 101 youth volunteer teams to support online public services in the province. These teams have been able to handle an average of over 1,500 online applications per day, contributing to the implementation of administrative procedure reform, digital transformation, and the development of e-government. Typical at the Public Administrative Service Center of Di An City, the team "Youth volunteers guiding citizens and businesses to implement online public services" consists of 31 volunteers. The majority of volunteers are selected from the Youth Union, youth members, and core members of wards, universities, and colleges. As of the end of August 2024, the team has supported more than 5,635 profiles and individuals, businesses to access and use online public services when coming to the center for procedures.

The team of volunteer guides for online public services in localities also regularly carry out propaganda and encourage people to use online public services. With their enthusiasm, proactiveness, attentiveness, and friendliness in guiding, the volunteer team has left a good impression on the people and businesses when conducting administrative transactions.

Along with that, the grassroots organization in the province also focuses on implementing new projects closely related to people's lives. A typical example is the Bach Dang Youth Union (Tan Uyen City) implementing the project "Youth and households participate in digital transformation". In this project, the Youth Union distributes 20 QR codes to households growing pomelo in the commune with the criteria of promoting cashless payment through QR code scanning, contributing to the implementation of the model "New Rural Area associated with Smart Village Construction". This is an activity for members, union members, and people to change their consumption and payment methods, not using cash.

In addition, the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee directs and implements regular and active propaganda, supports people in installing and activating level 2 electronic identity accounts; installing Binh Duong number application; guiding the use of non-cash payment services... Through this, people see the benefits and actively participate in the digital transformation process.

Skill improvement

Young people are dynamic, creative, and easily access new technologies. Recently, youth organizations at all levels have focused on enhancing digital literacy programs for young people to contribute to accelerating and improving digital transformation. At the provincial level, the Provincial Youth Union has coordinated the organization of nearly 20 "Enhancing digital literacy for young people" journeys in 2024. From the district level to the commune, town, and ward level, the Youth Union organizes programs to enhance digital transformation capabilities; promotes digital activities of the Youth Union and forms online youth gatherings on the internet, forums, and social networks; at the same time, equips skills and knowledge in applying digital transformation in startups and promoting images and products through cyberspace.

The Youth Union levels also coordinate the construction and development of many models and methods in digital transformation, such as "Youth Cashless Road"; applying to the propaganda work of the Union; guiding the search and study of historical relics, "red address" through QR code; applying digital technology in implementing online competitions, building and operating the Binh Duong Volunteer Information Portal, online audiobooks. Not only that, the levels of the Youth Union coordinate to implement the management of union members on the Vietnam Youth app and mobilize young union members to participate in the program "Install VNPT Money wallet - Build new term projects".

Mrs. Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Provincial Youth Union Secretary, said that, The entire Youth Union in the province will continue to create many support programs, digital skills training to help young people improve their knowledge and necessary skills to participate in the digital transformation process. On the other hand, the Youth Union organization promotes digital transformation in its work, moves the activities of the Youth Union to the digital environment, and promotes digital transformation in adolescents. Specifically, the Youth Union organizes courses, training sessions, competitions, awards, and creative activities in the field of information technology and digital transformation; updates knowledge and skills to ensure network security for Youth Union officials, team members, and young people; builds and operates applications and platforms to support young people in accessing knowledge and digital skills for daily life, learning, and work. These activities will promote the role of pioneering youth members in digital transformation tasks and encourage a spirit of learning to enhance professional expertise, contribute to the development of high-quality young human resources.
