Youths of Binh Duong Police force heading to the homeland ocean and island territories

Early June 29, the Youth’s League of Provincial Police held a program to heading to the ocean and island territory with awarding ceremony to the writing contest of “doing research of the ocean and islands of Vietnam” 2014. Attending the event was 200 officers and elite youths of the Youth’s League block belonging to Provincial Police and its grassroots in districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City.The occasion was to enhance awareness and understanding of officers and Youth’s League members regarding history and strategic role as well as basic knowledge about ocean and islands of Vietnam; regarding the guidelines and policies of the Party, legal policies of the State towards the ocean and islands of Vietnam, especially the sacred sovereignty of Vietnam in Spratly and Paracel Islands.Meantime, the contest was to inspire patriotism and nation pride of younger generations and their awareness of national sovereignty protection.At the program, the delegates watched documentary films and reports about the ocean and islands of Vietnam. They also listened to speech of Associate Professor, Ph.D., Lt. Colonel Vo Hong Cong, Dean of Anti-sabotage Reconnaissance Department of University of People’s Security, on the development of East Sea incidents and conspiracy of China and our strategies.Organizers have awarded prizes to individuals of the contest and received over VND 80 million of donation to the program (in photo).Reported by Cao Son – Translated by Vi Bao
