Of 1,700 recruited for military services in the province this year, many are the employees of organizations, units, factories, and graduates as well as undergraduates; they have temporarily delay their career for the same aim of volunteering for nation protection.
Personal affairs temporarily delayed
Before volunteering for military services, Nguyen Doan Vu of My Phuoc Ward in Ben Cat Town has relatively stable employment to Becamex TDC with good pay; however, Vu considers his duties of economic development and nation protection as the same. Thus, as a grown-up, he believes that the sacred duties for the nation should come before personal affairs or personal contribution to the society. Upholding the grown-up mind, Vu as a Party member has been so determined to delay his personal things and registered for military services. Vu has 5 members in his family and his father had been at the battle field in Cambodia; his older brother had fulfilled military services in 2014 and Vu continued to join the military services. Vu said: “I promise to fulfill my duties for the expectation of my family, my friends and local authorities for taking care of me through time.”

Graduated from University of Sports as a badminton athlete, Cao Anh Tai of My Phuoc Ward in Ben Cat Town returned to his locality to work as a sports teacher at Le Quy Don Junior High School in Ben Cat Town. For this year, on being called for military services, Tai volunteered to register before his personal affairs.
Tai said: “Nation protection is glorious. We, as the youths, must contribute to the construction and protection of the nation.”
To encourage Tai, his family has joined up.
Talking to us, Cao Van Nghia – Tai’s father, said: “Aside from his teaching at school, Tai helps us with our family business operation. For the sacred duties to the nation, we have arranged the operations and encouraged him to fulfill his duties. I keep talking to him to be worried free and fulfill the duties as an elite soldier as we are taking care of the rest. We believe that he would be more experienced in life after the duties to the nation.”
Following up
Nguyen Gia Vi of Phu Hoa Ward in Thu Dau Mot City was a student of construction at Thu Dau Mot University. Having high academic results, Vi has been very enthusiastic in movements of the university and localities. Vi used to be secretary of his class and quarter Youth’s League. Vi also won the title of students of 5 excellent achievements. For his achievements, in 2015, Vi was selected to Party admission subject. For the time, on fulfilling the graduation project of excellent grading, Vi was employed by BICONSI. It was not easy for him to be employed by such a large company of his interest. Vi was ready to delay his career for military services as he asserted: “We are living peaceful days thanks to sacrifices of our precedents for freedom and independence. As young citizens, we must be gratitude to such contributions and follow up by our readiness for military services.”
Vi had a yearning wish to be admitted to Communist Party of Vietnam in military services which is considered to be ideal to a young man of dreams and ideology.
Ready for the mission
Lam Thai Nguyen, the former Secretary of Quarter 7 Youth’s League at Uyen Hung Ward in Tan Uyen Town, have actively called upon local youths to join up local activities. As a result, the Quarter 7 Youth’s League has for consecutive years achieved the position of a strong grassroots. At the contest of excellent Youth’s League secretaries in 2015, Nguyen won the first prize, enabling him to be admitted to CPV in March 2015.
As a young Party member of good sense of responsibility and role, Nguyen volunteered for the military services hoping to contribute to the nation protection.
Nguyen said: “Nation protection is the sacred mission. I will grow up in the training conditions of the army. I am so delight at the departure and ready for admission.”
Nguyen Kim Phung, the Secretary of Uyen Hung Ward Youth’s League said: “I am a former Youth’s League officer and I have actively called upon youths to join. Besides, I have been in the form and clubs of the ward.”
