“Zero dong” market-day for 300 disadvantaged people

With the message of "Connecting community - Spreading charitable actions", on the morning of August 12, provincial Red Cross Society held a “Zero dong” market-day for disadvantaged people. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s  Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of provincial departments, sectors and mass organizations.

From the support resources, provincial Red Cross Association gave gifts worth VND700,000 each, including essential goods, food, vegetables, fruits…, for 300 people, workers and visually impaired people with difficult circumstances. The total value of the market-day was VND210 million.

Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Association said that over the past time, provincial Red Cross Association received the attention and direction of provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and support of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments, agencies, mass organizations, units, organizations and donors in charity and humanitarian activities. Through the "zero dong” market-days held regularly, provincial Red Cross Association has called for everyone to further share with those in difficult circumstances. From each small act of kindness, there will be a strong impact, spreading widely and multiplying into many beautiful actions, contributing to building up a united, compassionate community. At the market-day, provincial Red Cross Association received more support resources from its branches and donors.
