So as to create friendly working environment, for the time, Grassroot Labor Union of Pungkook Saigon II Corporation in Song Than Industrial Park 1 has taken care of spiritual and material life of their factory workers through various practical and joyful activities.
Learning of good model
Being considered as the elder of Youth’s League official, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung, Chair of Grassroot Labor Union of Pungkook Saigon II Corporation is present at all training courses and meetings with other grassroot labor unions. He told us about his learning of new models and good practice to apply to his union.

One of the models he brought back to his company was “labor union supermarket”. In 2 years of estblishment, the supermarket has been operating effectively to offer products of bargain prices to factory workers
Dung said: “Of my learning about other models, this is an amazing model, thus, I have proposed to the Board and gained instant support. Currently, our supermarket is selling necessary products to our factory workers after working hours.”
Aside from the supermarket model, his union also organized meaningful playground for factory workers including events of International Woman Day, Month of Factory Workers, and year ending parties for thousands of workers.
Mrs. Le Thi Oanh, a factory worker of the Company, said: “Although I have been not so long with the Company, I have been taken care of by the Company labor unions through activities of arts, performances, sports, and playground for us.”
For legal rights and benefits of factory workers
Under the motto of representing and protecting legal rights and benefits of factory workers, for the time, Grassroot Labor Union of Pungkook Saigon II Corporation has been taking care of its factory workers.
Accordingly, the company labor union frequently coordinates with its Board of Director to care for righteous benefits of factory workers. Aside from the State’s allowances, the Company offers more supports to make the factory workers feel more secured to work for the Company. Dung said: “Some quarrels may happen in the Company among working staffs and with the employer; however, we have elaborated the situations to them while negotiating for measures with the Board of Director; thus, not pity incurrence has emerged. All discussions have come to agreements.”
By the practical work, Grassroot Labor Union of Pungkook Saigon II Corporation has succeeded in building up harmonious relationship of the enterprise.
