A meaningful souvenir from Binh Duong province

At recent tourism conferences and festivals, there was a tourism souvenir of Binh Duong that made a special impression, it is wing seed combined with a mangosteen (photo). This is an innovative product made by provincial Tourism Promotion Center in recent years.

In 2018, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned provincial Tourism Promotion Center to host an ideas' contest for unique and attractive Binh Duong tourism souvenirs and gifts. At the competition, many designers put pictures of wing seed and mangosteen into their products. After that, provincial Tourism Promotion Center combined wing seed (seed of oil hairy-leafed apitong tree, a typical tree of Thu Dau Mot and Binh Duong) and mangosteen (a famous fruit of Binh Duong province) to form a characteristic souvenir product of Binh Duong province. This product is also associated with a unique handicraft in the province, wood sculpture. The special thing is that this small product contains values of history, traditional culture and characteristics of Binh Duong.

At the recent Conference on Tourism Development Cooperation of Southeast region, this product was introduced to other provinces and cities. Delegates of the conference as visiting Binh Duong's display booth were very impressed, appreciated the harmony, creativity and artistry of this product.

The provincial Tourism Promotion Center also said that many agencies, localities and units in the area were also interested in this product and wanted to order as souvenir to introduce Binh Duong to their partners and customers. This shows that, even if it is a souvenir, but with a good idea, beautiful appearance and can highlight features of this land, it will receive attention.
