Bau Bang District puts six urban areas into planning by 2030

According to Bau Bang District planning, by 2030, the district will have 6 urban areas. Specifically, from 2020 to 2025, Bau Bang District will have 1 class-4 urban area, Lai Uyen (currently a class-5 urban area), and establish a new class-5 urban area, Lai Hung. In particular, Lai Uyen town will be the district center. After 2025, Bau Bang District will have 1 class-4 urban area, Lai Uyen; 1 class-5 urban area, Lai Hung; and 1 new class-5 urban area, Long Nguyen.

Accordingly, the existing central urban area is the political and administrative center, service center of Bau Bang district and the industrial center of northern area of Bau Bang district; mainly distributed Lai Uyen town and part of Lai Hung urban area, the nuclear will be Lai Uyen town, expected to become a class-4 city in 2020-2025. Remaining urban areas are: Cay Truong industrial urban area; scientific and technological urban area; Lai Hung urban area; Long Nguyen urban area; eastern industrial urban area located in Hung Hoa commune.
