Binh Duong actively implements the 2021 economic census

Binh Duong provincial Statistical Office informed that, from March 1, Binh Duong conducted a 2021 economic census in the province to evaluate the development of the quantity, size and labor forces of the establishments in the economy, as a basis for proposing socio-economic development strategies for the time to come. Currently, Binh Duong has 49,946 enterprises.

Nguyen Thanh Truc, Deputy Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee, Head of Binh Duong provincial Census Steering Committee, said that the 2021 the economic census is vital to evaluate quantity, size and labor growth of the economic entities. Thereby, the results of production and business and the level of information technology application are evaluated along with structure of the distribution of establishments and labor by locality, by economic branch and by form of ownership to meet the management requirements of ministries and localities. Therefore, the units need to follow the content of the census plan to synchronously coordinate, proactively report, and share information. The team of enumerators must be trained for thorough and thoughtful investigation. In addition, it is necessary to quickly detect problems in the operational process to report for solutions to ensure the set out quality and progress.

Time for collecting information of the economic census in 2021, for the business sector and cooperatives is from March 1 to May 30-5. For localities with more than 8,000 enterprises or more, the information collection time is until August 31 at the latest; from March 1 to April 30 for non-business units and associations; from July 1 to July 30 for establishments and individual businesses, and from July 1 to July 30 for establishments of religions and beliefs. The results of the socio-economic census are expected to be announced by February 2022.

The investigation will focus on a number of related contents such as evaluation of the development of the quantity, size and labor of economic establishments, production and business results, the level of information technology application, structure and distribution of establishments and of labor by locality, by economic sector and by form of ownership. The survey also gathered information on employees' employment and earnings, on results, production and business costs (assets, capital sources, operations, taxes and payments to the budget, investment capital etc.), information on information technology application, capacity to access the fourth industrial revolution, financial access, and integration.

According to Ngo Van Mit, Director of Binh Duong provincial Department of Statistics, the large-scale census has complicated content and involves many different investigated subjects, so the innovation is towards radical application of information technologies and improvements of content, process, and methods are essential. The new point of this survey is the thorough application of information technology in all stages of investigation in order to save time for enterprises when declaring on the internet platform at http: // tongdieutrakinhte2021.gso.gov.vn from March 1 to April 30, 2021. Business information will be kept confidential.

In order to successfully carry out the economic census in the area, Binh Duong provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches and localities in the area to closely and strictly follow the plans of the provincial steering committee. Survey is carried out to ensure accuracy, quality, efficiency and according to the correct process under the professional guidance of Binh Duong provincial Statistical Office. At the last February regular meeting, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee also suggested that units, agencies especially in districts, towns and cities should be ready and proactive in entering right away for the highest sense of responsibility. Binh Duong provincial People's Committee directs units in the whole department to prepare for and strive to well completion of the 2021 economic census, thereby, creating a basis for an overall assessment of the economic picture of the province and serving good planning orientation for the following years.
