Binh Duong Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front and Laos Champasak Provincial Country Building Front to tighten solidarity and effective cooperation

Over five years (2014-2019), the cooperation agreement between Binh Duong Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front and Laos Champasak Provincial Country Building Front was implemented extensively and comprehensively, achieved good results, thereby nurturing the solidarity and friendship between the two localities and the two countries.

Binh Duong Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front and Laos Champasak Provincial Country Building Front continued to sign a cooperation agreement for the period 2019-2024.

Many good results

Following the Joint Declaration between Vietnam - Laos and the Comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding of the two provinces Binh Duong - Champasak, Binh Duong Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front and Laos Champasak Provincial Country Building Front strengthened the propagation on traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam - Laos in general and Binh Duong province - Champasak province in particular; continuously raised awareness and unify actions on foreign affairs among civil servants, union members, and people of all strata of the two provinces.

Nguyễn Văn Lộc, Binh Duong Provincial Party Standing Committee's Member, Head of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said that the two units exchanged regularly information on the Party's undertakings, economic, cultural, social and educational development programs of the two countries, as well as information related to the front work and mass organizations, ethnic groups, religions, and consolidation of national defense and security between the two localities. In the past 5 years, the two sides often collaborated well with member organizations to encourage agencies, units, people of all strata, especially enterprises to effectively implement the content of cooperation agreements between Binh Duong and Champasak provinces; guide and create favorable conditions for the implementation of twinning activities, cooperation and exchange among member organizations; send officials to participate in exchange and charity social activities organized by Provincial Youth Union in Champasak province on voluntary summers; strengthen the organization and operation of Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association in Binh Duong Province and in Champasak Province.

Binh Duong Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front collaborated with member organizations and businesses to send delegations to provide free medical examination and medicine, give gifts to the poor in some localities of Champasak province such as: Pakse, Xanaxambuon, Bachieng with a total of 2,320 gifts, worth over VND1 billion. Binh Duong province also funded the construction of an Olympic swimming pool in Champasak province and computers for competition team at Laos National Sports Festival. Enterprises in Binh Duong also actively participated in social activities in Champasak such as building schools, making roads, providing electricity, making wells with a total value of about VND 8.26 billion.

Si Thon Keophouvong, Chairman of Lao Champasak Provincial Country Building Front, said that in recent years, the Champasak Front had paid attention, guided, and create favorable conditions for Overseas Vietnamese Association, Vietnamese people in Champsak Province, and Vietnam - Laos Dau Tieng Rubber Company to well implement Laos Party and State's guidelines and policies; at the same time, supporting and encouraging when overseas Vietnamese people having difficulties. Champasak province annually donates 2 scholarships to study Lao at Champasak University for civil servants of Binh Duong province and officials of Vietnam - Laos Dau Tieng Rubber Company. Since 2014, the two provinces have organized 5 visits to exchange about the front works and summarized 3-year implementation of the cooperation agreement for the period 2014-2019. Besides, the two provinces's Fronts sent leaders to join leaders delegation to visit and extend greetings on occasion of traditional New Year of the two countries.

To keep widening cooperation

Based on the good results of the cooperation agreements between the two fronts and two provinces in period 2014-2019, on 11 Oct 2019, Binh Duong Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front and Laos Champasak Provincial Country Building Front decided to continue signing a cooperation agreement for the period 2019-2024. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to continue implementing the Joint Declaration between Vietnam - Laos, and the Memorandum of Understanding of the two provinces Binh Duong - Champasak.

The two fronts would strengthen the propagation on traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam - Laos in general and Binh Duong province - Champasak province in particular; continuously raised awareness and unify actions on foreign affairs among civil servants, union members, and people of all strata of the two provinces. Binh Duong Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front and Laos Champasak Provincial Country Building Front would regularly exchange information with each other about Party's policies, the economic, cultural, social and educational development programs of 2 countries, as well as information related to the front work, mass organizations, ethnic groups, religions, and consolidation of national defense and security between the two localities; regularly collaborate well with member organizations to encourage agencies, units and people of all strata, especially enterprises to effectively implement the content of cooperation agreements between the two provinces.

The Fatherland Front of the two provinces encourages, guides and creates favorable conditions for twinning activities, cooperation and exchange between member organizations and fronts of the two provinces; participate in strengthening the relationship, friendship, and cooperation between Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association in Binh Duong province and Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association in Champasak province...
