The rich land of revolutionary traditions

Along with the development of Thuan An City, Binh Nham ward is also undergoing many changes. Streets, spacious houses were built more and more, bigger and more beautiful. Although time has put on a new outfit, but the historical values of the revolution are still there. And some significant historical values have been partly depicted in Binh Nham Temple.

Talking about the local history, Ms. Vo Huynh Ngoc Thuy, Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Nham Ward People's Committee, said Binh Nham is one of the provinces rich in revolutionary traditions of Thuan An City. Binh Nham was honored to be the first place to establish the first communist organization of Thu Dau Mot - Binh Duong province in August 1930 (Di An wagon factory branch was established in January 1930 but belonged to Thu Duc district, Gia Dinh province). Under the leadership of the Party organization, the struggle movement of the people of Binh Nham increasingly developed, spreading to both Lai Thieu and Thu Dau Mot province at that time, actively contributing to the success of August Revolution 1945.

“The ward's officials, party members and people are always proud of their local tradition of revolutionary struggle. During the two resistance wars against the French colonialists and the American imperialists, Binh Nham was located in the occupied area of the enemy, the revolutionary movement in Binh Nham overcame the most difficult period to survive and develop. This is an important factor to ensure that the revolutionary struggle movement in Binh Nham is continuously maintained and strengthened until the day of victory,” Ms. Thuy said.

After the liberation day, along with other localities, Binh Nham began to overcome the consequences of war and create a new life. To pay tribute to those who have sacrificed their blood and efforts for the national liberation cause, with the support of Thuan An district (now Thuan An city), in 2002, Binh Nham temple project was built and inaugurated in 2003. This is not only the pride of generations of officials, party members and people of Binh Nham in particular, and the land of Thuan An in general, but also a source of many meaningful sources of national pride education for generations to come.
