February 25, in Ha Noi, Ministry of Public Security held an online conference to deploy the national database on demography and citizenship ID card production, issuance, and management system.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, reported on the implementation of the National Database project on demography and citizenship ID card production, issuance, and management system - the two largest information technology projects ever that have been applied with modern technology and to be deployed nationwide. In particular, the Ministry of Public Security has a central role in advising, implementing, and closely coordinating with ministries and branches to build and deploy 2 projects with specific roadmaps, meeting time requirements and ensuring modernity, accurate, synchronous, and highly confidential information in connecting, sharing and developing the data systems. On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security praised and commended outstanding units and individuals for their contributions to the construction and implementation of the two projects.

In Binh Duong, following the direction of the Director of Binh Duong provincial Police, the units and localities have completed the collection of population data to ensure compliance with requirements and progress. Police of units and localities have trained officers and issued citizen identification cards with electronic chips to people from January 1, 2021.
