Club for female farm owners in Phuoc Hoa works effectively

Founded in 1994, the club for female farm owners in Phu Giao district’s Phuoc Hoa district has brought families’ members substantial results. The club has so far absorbed 30 members aged 30 and above, most of them are good women in production and business.

Members of the club have regularly exchanged and shared experience in cultivation and animal husbandry. Annually, the club has also organized training courses on new technical ways in cultivation and animal husbandry for its members. A loan-rotating program has been carried by the club to help members lacking capital expand production.

Upon the above supports, members of the club have strived to overcome hindrances to get rich. Many sisters like Xoe, Dep.. are seen as typical members of the club with the models of livestock breeding in combination with cultivation, bringing them high incomes. Nguyen Thi Dep, member of the club said: “Thanks to the club’s help, my family economy has got better development…”.

Such these apart, the club has cooperated with the communal Women’s Union to organize monthly and quarterly talk shows on reproductive health, happy family-building, ways to feed children for health for its members. Members of the club have also helped and encouraged each other to overcome hindrances to rise up in the society.

However, club chief Bo Thi Thanh said that the club has still faced restraints on working budget, annual programs…for change. For better development, it is thought that the club needs to have more support and instructions from relevant sectors and levels.

The club for female farm owners is the new model and has brought substantial results. Under the development trend of farm economy, the birth of such model is very indispensable. But, it needs to have more support and instructions for better results.
