Development of Binh Duong Radio and Television Station constantly facilitated by Binh Duong provincial authority

In the afternoon of March 1, Tran Van Nam, Member of Party Central Committee cum Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee and Head of Binh Duong provincial National Assembly Delegation, had a meeting with the Board of Directors of Binh Duong Radio and Television. Attending the meeting was Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Standing Member and Head of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education, Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Member of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee cum Deputy Chairman Binh Duong provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, the Board of Directors of Binh Duong Radio and Television Station reported the results of activities in 2020 and tasks in 2021. In 2020, Binh Duong Radio and Television Station has achieved remarkable results, remarkably contributing to the communication activities in the province. In particular, the station opened a focused propaganda campaign before, during and after the Party Congress at all levels and the 11^th Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure and the 13th Party Congress. Bold propaganda on major holidays and political events of the country such as celebration of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3), 45 years of the liberation of the South and nation unification (April 30), 75 years of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of September 2, etc. was also organized. In 2020 and early 2021, the station effectively propagated the prevention and control of Covid- 19, including the direction of the government, ministries, central branches and the provincial authority, recommendations of the health sector, the drastic participation, close and effective coordination of branches, mass organizations and localities in epidemic prevention and control, charity, gratitude and sharing activities of the whole society in difficult times due to the epidemic effects, cautious propaganda and fight against the distorted claims and false information of the hostile forces in the epidemic prevention and control.

At present, Binh Duong Radio and Television Station has completed and issued a project to restructure the programs for the tastes of the wide audiences. After implementing the project, the number of television programs of the station has decreased from 130 programs in 4 series a month to 120 programs in 2 series a month. The number of radio programs has decreased from 120 programs in 4 series a month to 80 programs in 2 series a month.

The leaders of Binh Duong Radio and Television Station have also proposed to the provincial leaders a number of matters such as budget for downsizing payroll, the propaganda order implementation, constructions of technical and economic norms, and constructions of wall enclosures for the 252-meter antenna tower.

Speaking at the meeting, Tran Van Nam acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Binh Duong Radio and Television Station in recent years. At the same time, it is requested that the station should coordinate closely with the departments and branches to consider and appropriately handle the proposed contents, prioritizing the implementation of important contents. The Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee noted that Binh Duong Radio and Television Station needs to build projects on facilities and projects on human resources to prepare and respond to the station's development in the coming time.

The Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee added that the provincial authority will soon offer specific documents on propaganda, including the issue of ordered propaganda so that the departments, branches and localities are responsible for coordinating implementation in propaganda and must consider this as an important content as socio-economic development. The province has always cared about and created favorable conditions for Binh Duong Radio and Radio Station to develop. The currently important thing is the determination and aspiration of the station staffs and direction. Therefore, the station must calculate and see what is important and suitable to deploy first. At the same time, close coordination with the departments, branches and localities is make to ensure that propaganda is more and more professional and responsible.
