Enterprises stay proactive in Covid-19 prevention and control

In recent days, before the complicated evolution of the Covid-19 epidemic, most of the enterprises in the province have been proactively preventing and combating the epidemic in many ways such as dividing meal tables in different time zones to avoid close contact, setting up self-governing teams, setting up software for medical declaration, and monitoring travel schedules.

After the holidays of April 30 and May 1, workers of Sao Viet Joint Stock Company, Dong An Industrial Park in Thuan An city, when coming to work, must go through the control post of the self-governing team of company of 6 members with anti-splash shields, and sanitizers, standing at 6 entrances to the factory. All workers entering the entrances must wear masks; have their hands sanitized and temperature measured by those on duty. Queue must be kept with distance and order. When the job has stabilized, this force divide into many different timetables during the day to check, remind, and even strictly deal with anyone not wearing a mask or deliberately making close contact during working hours. The procedure is required by the company. The company's on-premise disease prevention system has been doing just that for many months.

Nguyen Binh Yen, Chairman of the grassroots trade union at Sao Viet Joint Stock Company, said that from the beginning of 2000, the company had started the system of disease prevention and control. In order to ensure the health of 4,300 workers, the company has a medical office for preliminary examination. If headaches, coughs and fever are detected, they will be treated immediately. In the cafeteria with partitions, eating is divided into many shifts. All over the production lines are equipped with sanitizers. At the end of the day, when the workers left, the self-governing team sprayed disinfectant in the dining area and some necessary places, then record the spraying schedule in full. Mr. Le Van Canh, a member of the self-management team of the company, said: “When joining the team, we have to leave early, we have to go home late, take care of professional work and take care of PCDB, so it is quite hard. However, since the team started operation, I found the disease prevention in the company very effective, so I also want to contribute a bit for family and community health.”

Procedures thoroughly implemented

Many other companies in the province such as Compass II Company Limited in VSIP I Industrial Park of Thuan An City and Dafi Co. Ltd. in Tan Uyen Town have also re-established the disease prevention. In addition to strictly checking the wearing of masks and disinfection, most of the dining tables in the companies have walls. In Ben Cat town, right after the holidays, disease prevention in enterprises is done effectively. Most of the businesses up to now have completed the medical declaration process after the holidays. In each enterprise, if there are workers returning from the epidemic area, they will conduct home isolation, and at the same time report these cases to the local authorities. Typically, large companies with hundreds or even thousands of workers such as An Hung Tuong Steel Company and Hassan Company have set up their own software in medical reporting. In addition, these companies also have software to track workers' daily schedules. Disease prevention measures according to the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health are strictly implemented by enterprises.

Le Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of the Trade Union of Ben Cat town, said that to implement the direction of Ben Cat town People's Committee as well as the provincial Trade Union, right from the last days of April, have sent a lot of paper documents via Facebook pages and Zalo groups to inform all enterprises that are active in disease prevention, especially after the holidays; this is the most important stage in disease prevention. “Labor union has cooperated with Ben Cat town People's Committee to inspect a number of enterprises. In general, the disease prevention of enterprises in the province is quite thoughtful. In addition to the following of the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health, many businesses also set up software to track worker schedules, set up table dividers, divide meal times to avoid close contact, and disinfect after working days," said Binh.
