Exciting activities celebrates Vietnam Teachers' Day

This year, although Vietnam Teachers' Day 20 Nov is not allowed to hold celebration according to Decree 111/2018/ND-CP stipulating regulations on the foundation date, traditional day of ministries, branches, localities. Instead, propagation, communication, and emulation activities at schools and localities have taken place vibrantly to show gratitude to teachers, who have day and night devoted themselves to the education cause of the country.

A pair of teacher and student take part in the contest "Beauty of teachers and students" hosted by People's Committee and Youth Union of Hoa Phu ward.

At Vo Minh Duc High School, in recent days, an emulation movement of good marks has been taking place eagerly. Students of the school diligently study to get 10 points as gifts to teachers. Besides, the students also actively participated in a competition of making greeting cards. Accordingly, students made themselves 2 greeting cards to their teacher with lively photos of teachers and students, and even wishes, poems to congratulate Vietnam Teachers' Day.

For the photo contest "Moments of Gratitude", individual students and classes as participants sent a photo with their teacher along thoughts and feelings to record memories and express gratitude to teachers at Vo Minh Duc High School. In addition, Youth Union of the school also held a music competition with songs praising the Party, Youth Union, Uncle Ho, the homeland, the people, teachers and students, and school.

Nguyễn Trung Hiếu, Youth Union Secretary of Vo Minh Duc High School, said: “Contests and emulation movements will convey profound knowledge so that youth union members and students are proud of school tradition "Drinking water and remember its source", Respecting teachers, and to be well aware of the responsibilities of students, strive to learn well and train good personalities. At the same time, emulation movements of "Good Teaching - Good Learning", cultural art movements, sports competitions were organized to create an animated atmosphere in the school, strengthen relationships, exchanges, and solidarity between classes.”

Hoa Phu Ward People's Committee (Thu Dau Mot City) also cooperated with Youth Union to hold the second "Beauty of teachers and students" contest 2019. Accordingly, many pairs of teacher and student, who are studying and working in schools in the ward, took part in an online photo contest themed "Beauty through photos", "Talent contest", costume performance, and interviews about young teachers learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; the tradition of "Drinking water and remember its source”, beautiful memories of teachers and students; common school situations...

Besides, in many schools across the province also organized activities to celebrate Vietnam Teachers' Day, such as Cultural Center of Long Nguyen Commune (Bau Bang District) held the contest "Office beauty and the singing of teachers”, Nguyen Khuyen Secondary School (Thu Dau Mot City) with sports festivals for men's football, swimming, table tennis, chess. These activities that helped convey to students the spirit of being respectful towards teachers, enhancing the emulation movement "Good teaching - Good learning", cultural movements, arts, and sports; creating a lively atmosphere in schools; and create a close relationship between teachers and students.
