Festive activities must ensure full meaning and value

On Nov 19th, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, presided over a meeting to approve the plan for activities celebrating major holidays and Lunar New Year 2021. Attending the meeting were Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of departments, branches and provincial Organizing Committee of major holidays.

According to a report of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Provincial Standing Organizing Committee of major holidays, activities to celebrate major holidays in 2021 will be comprised of the same activities like in the previous year. Particularly, activities to celebrate New Year, Lunar New Year, activities celebrating the Party - celebrating New Year 2021 will include cultural and artistic activities, street decorations, gatherings. During Lunar New Year 2021, activities held at provincial Administrative Center will include:  New Year's Eve, music show, flower streets, spring flower festival, spring press festival, spring travel 2021 etc. In localities, people's committees of districts, towns and cities will also develop plans for specific activities. Fund for Lunar New Year activities is allocated by state budget and socialization sources. 

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen agreed with the plan, and asked the Organizing Committee to synthesize comments to make appropriate supplement. Mr. Nguyen also stressed that the organization of major holidays and activities during Lunar New Year 2021 must ensure the full meaning and value of the festival, appropriate size, characters and form of the organization; ensuring the prevention of Covid-19 and social security order; should organize more playgrounds to create a joyful atmosphere for participants; clearly assigned responsibilities to members in organizing festive activities...
