Implementation of African swine fever prevention plan

Provincial People's Committee issued Decision 2496 on the approval of the "National Plan for The Prevention and Control of African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV), period 2020-2025" in the province.

Accordingly, the overall objective of the plan is to ensure the implementation of biosecurity and safety; proactively supervise early detection, timely and effective application of measures to prevent and combat ASFV in order to minimize economic losses, limit the adverse impact of pork prices on the consumer price index, limit environmental pollution... The specific target is that over 50% of communes, wards and townships do not have ASFV during the first 2 years of the plan; over 60% of communes, wards and townships do not have ASFV in the next 2 years and over 70% of communes, wards and townships do not have ASFV in the last 2 years of the plan. There are 100% large-scale animal breeding establishments; over 70% of medium and small-sized establishments apply biosecurity measures for pig farming.
