IT development for e-government building

On January 14, provincial Department of Information and Communications held a conference to summarize the year 2020, announce tasks for 2021 and development plan for information and communications sector in period 2021 - 2025. Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, attended the conference.

In 2020, targets in field of information and communications were basically be implemented on schedule. Information and communications infrastructure was and continues to be invested in synchronous and modern development; quality and types of journalism and communications are gradually being heightened; 39% targets of level-4 online public services were achieved  according to the Government's Resolution 17/NQ - CP on a number of key tasks and solutions for e-Government development in the 2019-2020 period, orientation towards 2025. Total revenue of provincial ICT industry in 2020 was estimated at more than 15 trillion VND.

In 2021, the information and communications sector continues to propagate and promote images of the province; to support and instruct commune-level radio stations in using FM wireless radio to convert to radio stations with IT - telecommunications applications; pilot the installation of surveillance system in service of traffic management on Highway 13, and develop Vietnamese digital technology enterprises; continue to implement online public services on Provincial Public Service Web Portal. To counsel Provincial People's Committee to implement non-cash payment of fees and charges and online payment when performing administrative procedures; continue to perform smart city building missions; evaluation and ranking of e-government at district and commune levels...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Mai appreciated the work of the information and communications industry in the past year, notably the 1022 hotline has operated very effectively. In 2021, it is necessary to strongly develop IT in order to offer better advice to Provincial People's Committee on the digital transformation, building a complete e-government.
