Joint efforts of enterprises in Covid19 epidemic prevention and control

Update: 20-06-2021 | 16:06:34

Currently, the Covid-19 epidemic has entered businesses and industrial parks. Therefore, it is very necessary for businesses to actively support the health sector to purchase medical equipment, testing machines, and epidemic prevention tools in general.

Helping enterprises screen the Covid-19 infection risks

It is currently of great concerns that the number of positive cases of Covid-19 are workers directly working at a number of companies and factories in Binh Duong province. Therefore, the functional forces were forced to temporarily block a number of businesses with workers infected with Covid-19 such as Puku Vietnam Co. Ltd.,  Tico Joint Stock Company, Prestima, Duy Hung Logistics,  Housewares, and  Phuc Dat Real Estate.

Those enterprises have 100 to 1,000 workers and the related cases to Covid-19 infection cases have been quarantined and tested widely. As the current developments of Covid-19 are complicated, the investments into equipment for higher testing competence in all fields is really necessary.

Doctor Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of Binh Duong province's Department of Health, said that the current situation of the Covid-19 epidemic is very complicated, especially the tendency to spread into factories, industrial parks, and offices of  administrative agencies.  The support of businesses for the provincial health sector is very timely.  Ever since, they have invested in medical equipment and human resources for organized zoning to handle and stamp out the epidemic as soon as possible.

According to Dr. Ha, if in previous epidemic outbreaks, testing for the Covid-19 epidemic was still limited, which was carried out mainly by the provincial Center for Disease Control, then, in this fourth wave of epidemics, thanks to the support of the enterprises, many hospitals and medical facilities have had enough capacity to test and screen tens of thousands of aggregate samples per day. As a result, the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in the province is much more active and effective.

As for Doctor Nguyen Van Truong, Director of Bécmex International Hospital, in the third wave of the epidemic, the Becamex IDC health system has been involved from the beginning. The hospital has cooperated with businesses to advise on service packages for disease prevention and control, health care, and disinfection methods.

Particularly for this 4th epidemic outbreak, Becamex International Hospital coordinated with the Center for Disease Control of Binh Duong province to conduct Covid-19 testing. Currently, the hospital has the capacity to test about 3,000 aggregate samples per day to help many businesses in the area test and screen for pathogens in businesses. In addition, My Phuoc General Hospital also has a standard Covid-19 testing team, which will coordinate well with the Center for Disease Control of Binh Duong province to conduct testing as the epidemic may occur and widespread.

“For the time to come, Becamex Corporation continues to invest in a screening testing system in Tan Uyen town. Thus, when an epidemic may occur, all hospital systems in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control of Binh Duong province would be able to test tens of thousands of aggregate samples per day," said Dr. Truong.

Testing competence improved

To help the testing of Covid-19 in the province meet the standards, Hoang Hung Company has recently donated a Real-Time PCR system to the Center for Disease Control of Binh Duong province.  Thai Binh Investment Joint Stock Company donated 1 Real-Time PCR testing machine to Di An city Medical Center. Most recently on June 14, responding to the call of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province and the Center for Disease Control of Binh Duong province, Becamex IDC signed an agreement to finance the prevention fight against the Covid-19 epidemic along with the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee and the local Department of Health.

Accordingly, Becamex IDC participated in sponsoring the second phase of VND 40 billion donation including items such as testing machines, supplies, equipment, and human resources for mass testing, especially forces in charge of testing the working people in the province's large concentrated industrial parks.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan, General Director of Becamex IDC, said that thanks to the supporting package, testing equipment will be provided at 3 locations of Becamex International Hospital, My Phuoc General Hospital, and Tan Uyen town Medical Center and supplies for testing 30,000 samples of the local Department of Health. For the time to come, Becamex and its member units will continue to work closely with the Department of Health to increase the capacity of testing and vaccination against Covid-19 for working people..

Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee cum Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the spirit of cooperation and contribution of businesses in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic. In particular, Becamex IDC alone has contributed VND 65 billion to the fight against Covid-19 in the province.

“This is very meaningful cooperation, especially in the current complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic. With the unanimity and contribution of businesses, it will make an important contribution to repel the epidemic, helping Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular continue to develop the economy; and people's lives will soon stabilize again," said Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha said.
