Kim Long High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative receives GlobalGAP certificate for melon products

Kim Long High-Tech Agriculture Cooperative in An Binh commune, Phu Giao district has held a ceremony to receive GlobalGAP certificate of high-tech melon products for Southeast Asian and Middle East markets.

Kim Long High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative was established in 2016, initially had 7 members, with a cultivated area of about 1.7 hectares. The cooperative currently has 45 members, with an area of melon cultivation of nearly 13 hectares. With the application of closed houses into production, high technology has helped farmers' production costs reduce by about 20%, minimize the impact of disease, reduce 70% of plant protection drugs, help ensure the health of workers, protect the environment and provide safe products for consumers. All Kim Long stages from planting to distribution are strictly controlled according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards. Particularly in 2020, the whole cooperative provided to the market about 1,030 tons of products, collected revenue of about VND40 billion.

Also at the reception of GlobalGAP certificate, Kim Long High-tech Agricultural Cooperative awarded the title of Miss Melon 2020 to Nguyen Ngoc Hai's household in An Binh commune, Phu Dao district.
