On Sep 21, in Ben Cat Town, representatives of provincial departments, branches, and leaders of Ben Cat Town had a meeting with Indian Ambassador in Vietnam on a project to build Data detection receiving station and Satellite image processing center of the ASEAN-India cooperation bloc.

The project is located in My Phuoc 3 urban area (Thoi Hoa ward, Ben Cat Town) with an area of about 4 ha. According to the report, the project has a synchronous technical infrastructure to serve data detection and satellite image data processing center in Ho Chi Minh City for ASEAN countries; provide remote sensing data from available satellites and future satellites of Indian space research agencies...

The project has a total investment of nearly 575 billion VND, of which non-refundable aid from ASEAN - India Fund is 481 billion VND, the rest is reciprocal capital from the Central budget. The expected time to put the project into operation is in 2022.
