Maneuver to cope with environmental incidents caused by fire and explosion carried out

On 7 Nov, Provincial Environmental Response Steering Committee carried out a maneuver of prevention and response to environmental incidents caused by fire and explosion at Sakata Inx Vietnam Company (referred to as Sakata Company for short), VSIP 1 (Thuan An Town). Attending the maneuver were Mai Hùng Dũng, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee; representatives of departments, and hundreds of officials and soldiers.

According to a hypothetical situation, there was a collision between tank truck and forklift leading to fire and explosion during the transportation of chemicals to Sakata Company. As soon as the fire occurred, Sakata Company quickly implemented simultaneously measures to fight fire and respond to this environmental incident. Facing the fire and chemicals at risk of being released into the environment, Sakata Company announced and asked functional forces for assistance.

Local functional forces remove chemicals and victims from the scene.
