Over 9 months of 2020, the Covid-19 developed and directly affected the operation of travel companies. Cancellation of tours, room bookings, and other services affected many travel companies in the province.

Big national holidays, like Reunification Day and National Day, are usually the busiest time in the year of the domestic industry. But this year, due to effects of the pandemic, people's fear of diseases made travel, transportation, entertainment companies have very few customers. According to Tourism Management Office under provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, over first nine months of the year, the tourism industry was estimated to serve 1,040,000 visitors (reaching 18.9% of the year target), down 75.5% over the same period in 2019. Total revenue of tourism activities in the province reached VND 440 billion (reaching 29.3% of the year target), down 65.1% over the same period in 2019.
