Prime Minister appreciates Binh Duong's aspirations for development

On September 10th, in Hanoi, the Politburo and the Secretariat had a meeting with Standing Committee of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee to make comments on draft documents and personnel plans that will be submitted to the 11th Provincial Party Congress (tenure 2020-2025). Politburo Member, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chairs the meeting.

Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial National Assembly's delegation, reported to the Politburo that, along with directing the successful organization of Party Congress at grassroots level, Provincial Party Committee focused on the preparation for Provincial Party Congress in an urgent, serious manner to ensure the set schedule. In general, this success demonstrated the solidarity and unity throughout provincial Party and the whole community. This is the foundation and an important condition for the 11th Party Congress of Binh Duong province to be successfully convened.

In economic field, provincial GRDP growth rate was quite high, an average of 9.35% per year. The economic structure continued to change properly. The scale of GRDP by 2020 is estimated at over VND1.6 million, 1.7 times higher than in 2015. GRDP per person reached VND 155.7 million per person (higher than the southeastern average and 2.5 times higher than the national average). The quality of people'slives is improved. Poverty reduction made good progress. In 2017, Binh Duong was recognized as the first province in the country to no longer have poor families according to the Central standards.

The construction and correction of the Party, the construction of political system received much attention, had many good changes. Provincial Party Committee focused on leading and directing the comprehensive implementation of the Central Resolutions on the Party construction and correction on politics, ideology, organization and ethics. The implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "To enhance the learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and lifestyle" combined with the implementation of the 4th Central Resolution on strengthening the Party construction and correction, and regulations on exemplary role of party members were done seriously. The organization and arrangement of political system combined with streamlining and downsizing gained good results.

Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc commented that the documents of the 11th Party Congress of Binh Duong province were prepared elaborately, thoroughly, scientifically and rationally; are eligible to present to the upcoming Provincial Party Congress. Staffing work ensured the right procedure, publicity, transparency, standards, structure... Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also praised and appreciated efforts of provincial Party in the past tenure. According to the Prime Minister, the tenure 2015-2020 was a successful term of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee. Binh Duong made great efforts to gain comprehensive results in many fields, especially in improving technical infrastructure, industrial infrastructure, attracting FDI investment, smart city construction, new rural construction... The Prime Minister appreciated the Party construction, protection and strengthening of internal solidarity, the implementation of Directive 05 and Central Resolution 4; appreciated the aspiration to build Binh Duong into a smart, civilized and modern city in the new period.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc basically approved the objectives, targets, tasks and solutions set out in the draft documents, and asked Provincial Party Standing Committee to notice comments and opinions to supplement, improve the quality of personnel documents and schemes.  The Prime Minister also noted that Binh Duong should continue to express aspirations to rise up in the new period; promote strengths, seize opportunities, welcome partners, agreements; pay attention to urban and industrial technical infrastructure; make breakthroughs in government construction, administrative reform; step by step form science and technology zones, smart cities; focus on the development of high-quality, high-value-added services, industrial and urban support services; care about social issues, ensure social security; continue to innovate the method and leadership capacity of Party committees; focus on the construction and development of party organizations in non-State sector...
