Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visits and works in Binh Duong

On Jan 1^st 2017, the delegation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited and worked in Binh Duong. Receiving the delegation were Mr. Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, provincial Party Secretary, head of provincial NA’s delegation; Mr. Pham Van Canh, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee; and members of provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of departments, agencies, districts, towns and city.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of provincialParty Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, briefed the delegation about remarkable results of socio-economic development of the provincein 2016, especially in fields of foreign investment attraction, investment in comprehensive social development, social welfare policies, taking care of policy households, the poor, workers ... and orientations, solutions to sustainable socio-economic development of the province in 2017 and the following years.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister’s delegation appreciated the achievements of Binh Duong province in the process of socio-economic development; the leadership of provincial Party Executive Committee, provincial leaders in the process of sustainable socio-economic development. Members of the delegation also recommended that during the development process, Binh Duong should focus on sustainable planning, environmental pollution issues, industrial growth, high-tech agricultural development... Leadership of Planning and Investment Ministry proposed that the Prime Minister should create favorable conditions for Binh Duong to mobilize resources, capital for development investment, particularly infrastructure of Binh Duong new city.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen XuanPhuc praised socio-economic achievements of Binh Duong province. The Prime Minister expected Binh Duong to be the leader of the region and the country, and not only for its own growth but also have to lead other provinces in development...

Binh Duong has joined hands with the whole country to fulfill socio-economic growth targets. Through 20 years, Binh Duong has contributed greatly to the national development. Creative way of Binh Duong has made spectacular progresses, in which social security has been placed on top.

Binh Duong is one of localities leading in administrative procedure reform, has many innovative models and an effective public administrative center. Binh Duong has respected the human factor. Binh Duong has always considered immigrants as subjects to development rather to management. Binh Duong has also enhanced robustly local human resources, which are highly appreciated. Binh Duong province, along with Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, achieved impressive export turnovers of over $20 billion, is one of five localities surpassing $20 billion of foreign investment attraction.

Binh Duong is preparing to build up a smart city. The Prime Ministeralso praised Binh Duong for dynamic industrial development, but always paying attention to agricultural and rural growth, being successfully in new rural construction.

To keep the sustainable development up, the Prime Minister recommended Binh Duong to exploit advantages, such as geographical location being close to HCMC. Binh Duong also need to focus onheighteningprovincial CPI, PAR index to strongly attract investors;the depth of socio-economic development, environmental pollution, social security and order.

Regarding solutions and orientations, the Prime Minister hoped that Binh Duong would soon become a city directly under the Central, a smart city, a destination of investors. Therefore,Binh Duong needs to keep up the leading role nationwide, create breakthroughs in investment attraction, build upconnecting transport infrastructureas well as the planning; and also to focus on high-tech and less labor-intensive industries for a sustainable development.

The Prime Minister also expected Binh Duong to develop both urban and rural areas. Hence, Binh Duong should do better social security works, take good care of worker’s lives; boost administrative procedure reform, simplify processes, connect e-government with e-citizens, strengthening disciplines and strictly handle bureaucratic cases...

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, provincial Party Secretary, Head of provincial NA’s delegation, expressed thankfulness and noted the Prime Minister’s directives; thereby, the province will try to develop sustainably; ensure that all  people strata in the province would benefit from socio-economic achievements.

On occasion of New Year, Mr. Tran Van Nam, on behalf of Binh Duong province Party, government and people, sent best greetings to the Prime Minister, the Government’s delegation.
