Startup ideas’ competition kicks off

At Becamex Business Incubator (Eastern International University), a program took place to announce the competition of seeking startup ideas "Startup Idea Battle" for the second time-2019. The competition was hosted by Eastern International University in collaboration with Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union for all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15-22 who are living, studying and working in Vietnam. The total prize value is VND 300 million.

The competition consisted of three rounds, the content was about ideas for community service, sustainable development, breakthrough technology, smart city, and green initiatives in fields of technology, education, health, environment, trade, service, public utilities ... Round 1 will take place on June 1, round 2 on June 15, the final round on June 22. The deadline for applications is 25 May.

In Vietnam, according to statistics, there are currently about 3,000 innovative start-up businesses, 40 start-up incubators, business promotion organizations, and 40 active venture capital funds. In 2018, the start-up ecosystem in our country has recorded 92 deals investing in start-up enterprises with a total value of over 889 million USD, 3 times higher than 2017.
