Supermarkets in Di An Town are committed to reducing plastic waste

To carry out the movement "Against plastic waste" in response to the Prime Minister’s direction, People's Committee of Di An Town encouraged units, which are shopping centers, convenience store chains with large scale and good reputation in retail selling field in the town, to join hands to minimize plastic waste.

Accordingly, three units including Big C Di An, Vinmart Di An, Co.op - Food signed a commitment to reduce plastic waste generation through a gradual transition from using disposable plastic and nylon packaging to environmentally friendly biodegradable packaging.

The signing of this commitment to reduce the generation of plastic waste partly showed its role, contributing to reducing 10% of plastic waste in 2019-2020, joined hands to encourage consumers to refuse disposable plastic products and increase environmentally friendly packaging.
