Supervision delegation of Provincial Standing People's Council examines new rural construction in Tan Uyen Town

On 3 Oct, supervision delegation of Provincial Standing People's Council held a meeting to examine the results of national target program on new rural construction in 2016-2020 period in Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi communes (Tan Uyen Town).

The results show that the implementation of national target program on new rural construction received attention of Party committees and local authorities, leadership, direction, and the participation of the entire political system and local people. Socio-economic situation of the two communes had good changes; productions grew; infrastructure construction was invested; people’s income and lives were improved.

In Bach Dang commune, 100% roads were asphalted. By promoting crop restructuring, increasing the proportion of agricultural production combined with multisectoral economic development, more and more laborers have stable jobs and improved living standards. In Thanh Hoi commune, due to new rural construction, the commune’s face has been changed, rural transport was upgraded; schools, healthcare system were built spaciously to meet people’s demands; the commune improved the criteria for new rural construction.

The supervision delegation approved results reported by commune leaders, listened to difficulties and proposals of the national target program on new rural construction; At the same time, discussed some solutions to effectively implement the program according to provincial advanced criteria.

Afterwards, the delegation surveyed some rural roads, cooperative groups, cultural houses, and schools in the two communes.
