To improve operation quality and effectiveness of provincial People’s Council

July 11, in Long An Province, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan attended the 6^th conference on permanent committees of People’s Councils in provinces and cities of the South Region and Mekong Delta in the tenure of 2016-2021.

Addressing the conference, the Chairwoman stressed on the new method to combine the organization among regions to improve operation quality and effectiveness of People’s Councils. She suggested that reforms should be continual while affirming the role of the State to represent the wide public. The new reformed laws have been in place since July 1, 2020 to include changes related to operations of all-level People’s Council and People’ Committee. She urged to follow the new laws.

“Divisions of People’s Council must be focused in terms of inspection quality and critical values as the good foundation for considering, discussing and deciding the agendas. As resolutions are issued, continual inspection and monitoring should be practiced for timely remedies,” said the NA Chairwoman.

The delegates of People’s Councils are required to visit grassroots, monitor their functional agencies regarding law implementation; proposals and feedbacks of voters should be timely considered and resolved while reasonable time should be invested into preparation for valuable feedbacks. In the process of inspection, the People’s Councils are to focus on matters of great concerns to avoid the situation of unanswered feedbacks.

The upcoming conference shall be organized in Binh Duong before the 9^th conference in An Giang Province.
