Mr. Huynh Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, said: “Over the past time, Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control activities have always been concerned and directed by the Party committees and authorities, including the implementation of concentrated isolation area. The Health sector has coordinated with the Provincial Military Command, urgently agreed to select the venue for the organization of the province's concentrated medical isolation area. Binh Duong continues to prepare for the reception of concentrated isolation, coordinated by the military zone, foreign experts to work and suspected cases related to outbreaks in Da Nang, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai. The centralized isolated areas at the provincial and district levels are always ready and guaranteed to be received at any time. From the beginning of the epidemic season to August 8, Binh Duong has completed 982 concentrated quarantine cases ”.

Following the survey team to establish the quarantine area, we noted that the concentrated isolation point of the provincial Military School had about 200 beds, ready for quarantine. Districts, towns and cities are ready to receive isolation, such as: Military Command Committee of Thu Dau Mot city is 100 beds old, expandable to 150 beds; Di An City has 4 isolation points with a total of 600 beds; Thuan An city with 230 beds; Tan Uyen Town of 250 beds; Bac Tan Uyen district also has 2 isolation points with 380 beds. Meanwhile, Ben Cat Town uses 2 blocks of Becamex My Phuoc social housing apartment block with a total of 1,200 beds; Bau Bang district, with the advantage of the new medical center's spacious facilities; Phu Giao district has 500 beds and Dau Tieng district has 100 beds. So far, the health sector has deployed 18 concentrated isolation points with 3,840 beds, willing to accept isolated overseas Vietnamese, foreign experts to work and suspected cases related to outbreaks in Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai. However, the number of concentrated isolation zones and the number of beds that can be expanded to more than 4,000 beds.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee has approved the decision to establish a concentrated isolation area for a fee at 2 hotels in Thu Dau Mot city: Dai Nam Hotel (Hiep An Ward) with 84 rooms and The Mira Hotel. 2 (Phu Hoa ward) with 92 rooms used for medical isolation.

Proactively diversify and deliver treatment

Right from the beginning of the epidemic outbreak, the health sector has built a treatment facility at the Provincial General Hospital, a plan to deploy field hospital and is approved by the Provincial People's Committee. Procurement of medical materials and equipment, ensuring medical supplies, especially protective clothing, medical masks, and antiseptic solutions for medical staff, and duty workers at quarantine is guaranteed. In addition to actively purchasing materials and equipment, in recent years, the health sector has also received contributions and support from organizations and individuals in the province through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province. . “Although there are still difficulties in the supply of medical materials, the health sector has cooperated with other departments to find sources to procure as well as sources of support, which are currently enough to meet the Covid epidemic prevention and control. -19. In fact, during this period, the health sector paid special attention to the task of channeling, dividing the treatment of patients in case of an epidemic, and preventing cross-infection for health workers. Mobile epidemic prevention and control teams were also strengthened, fully prepared disinfectant chemicals, disease prevention and control equipment, and supported localities when needed. At the same time, the health sector has also coordinated with end-level hospitals (Tropical Diseases Hospital, Pediatric Hospital 1, Children's Hospital 2, Cho Ray Hospital ...) to establish satellite hospitals when needed; deployed a 140-bed field treatment area at facility 2 of the provincial General Hospital.

Under the direction of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Defense, the 4th Corps Command, in Binh Duong province will deploy 2 field treatment facilities. Accordingly, the 4th Corps Command directed the 4th Military Medical Hospital - 4th Corps to deploy a 100-bed infected department at Military Hospital 4 - 4th Corps. Currently, Military Hospital 4 - Corps 4 is ready to receive patients. In addition, the Ministry of Health coordinated with the Ministry of Defense to direct 4th Corps to deploy a 500-bed field hospital to receive international students and workers returning from China.
