Turnover of FDI enterprises over Q1-2020 reaches $3,299 million

According to Management board of Binh Duong provincial industrial parks, the total turnover of enterprises with foreign direct investment (FDI) in provincial industrial parks over Quarter I-2020 is estimated at $3,299 million, which is 7% reduced compared with the same period last year. Revenue of FDI enterprises included the domestic consumption and export. The cause of revenue reduction is the negative effects of Covid-19 pandemic. However, FDI enterprises have promptly expanded and enhanced exports since the early March 2020, hence the revenue have not been heavily affected.

Over the first quarter of 2020, Binh Duong attracted nearly VND9,527 billion in domestic capital, had 1,159 new enterprises (an increase of 153 enterprises). The province has now 43,757 domestic enterprises with a total registered capital of more than VND374,180 billion. Meanwhile, FDI attraction reached $293.5 million (54% in the same period). Binh Duong has 3,816 FDI projects with a total registered capital of $34.6 billion.
