Workshop on solutions to implement student health insurance

In the morning of October 19, the provincial Social Insurance Organization held a workshop to evaluate the health insurance for students in universities, colleges and professional secondary schools in the academic year 2017-2018, unifying the solution of public effective implementation for the school year of 2018-2019 (in photo).

As of May 31, 2018, at the end of the school year 2017-2018, in 290 schools at all levels in the province, nearly 312,000 students participate in student health insurance (HSSV), reaching billions accounting for 96% and more than 14,000 children not participating in health insurance. Compared with the previous school year, the number of students increased 7%, equivalent to over 41,000 children.

Compared to other levels of participation, 97% to 98% of the attendance rates are low. Among universities and colleges, many schools have health insurance of under 50%. Therefore, at the workshop, the colleges, universities, vocational secondary schools and vocational training have discussed the results of the implementation in the 2017-2018 school year, the difficulties encountered in the implementation of medical insurance. To provide students with health insurance and to provide solutions and measures to implement health insurance for 100% students.
