Binh Duong province wishes to continue friendly cooperation with Laos

Morning August 24^th, Mr. Tran Van Nam, Chairman of PPC, welcomed Lao People's Democratic Republic Consulate General in HCMC Mr. Southideth Phommalat on the occasion of ending his working term.

At the meeting, Mr. Southideth Phommalat said, during the struggle for national independence, Lao people received valuable supports of Vietnam. After 1975, especially in recent years, in addition to friendly cooperative relations in politics, culture, education..., Laos has coordinated with strong localities of Vietnam, including Binh Duong province. The relationship between the two countries led to the emergence of Vietnamese companies in Laos and tremendous changes in all aspects of Laos. Vietnam – Laos Dau Tieng Rubber Company in Champasak province has helped local people to reduce poverty and improve significantly people’s life.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Nam thanked Lao government to develop a comprehensive, long-term cooperation with Binh Duong province, especially, Champasak province for supporting, facilitating Vietnam – Laos Dau Tieng Rubber Company. Mr. Tran Van Nam hoped, after his working term, Mr. Southideth Phommalat would continue to be a linkage between Vietnam – Laos as well as Binh Duong – Champasak.
