Over the past 95 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam founded and trained by President Ho Chi Minh, our nation has written the most heroic and glorious pages of history. The Party led our people to escape from slavery, rise up to become masters of the country from the victory of the August Revolution in 1945, and establish the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Next, the Party led the entire people to successfully complete the cause of national liberation and reunification; carry out the renovation process, build socialism and firmly protect national independence. 

Aspiration to build a prosperous country 

The great achievements after 40 years of renovation under the leadership of the Party have helped the country accumulate enough position and strength for breakthrough development in the next period, bringing the country into a new era, an era of national growth. Recently, at a special thematic discussion "New Development Era - The Era of Vietnamese Nation Growth" at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam stated that the time to start the new era is the 14th National Congress of the Party, from now on, all Vietnamese people, hundreds of millions of people as one, under the leadership of the Party, unite, join hands, make the most of opportunities and advantages, push back risks and challenges, bring the country to comprehensive, strong development, breakthrough and take off.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the destination of the era of rising up is a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization, developing under the socialist regime, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers. The top priority in the new era is to successfully implement the strategic goals by 2030, Vietnam will become a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045 it will become a developed socialist country with high income; strongly arousing national spirit, spirit of autonomy, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-reliance, national pride, aspiration for national development; closely combining national strength with the strength of the times.

Preparation of position and strength to accompany the country 

Binh Duong plays an important role in the Southern Key Economic Zone, is the international trade gateway to the North and Northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, is a traffic hub for roads and railways connecting with the extended Mekong River region and ASEAN countries. At the same time, Binh Duong is one of the four localities of the Southern Dynamic Quadrangle, playing a leading role in the economic development of the whole country. With its location in the Moc Bai - Ho Chi Minh City - Vung Tau economic corridor associated with the Trans-Asia corridor, Binh Duong is also located on the Central Highlands - Southeast trade route.

Inheriting the development achievements of Song Be province in the past, the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Duong province have promoted the tradition of solidarity, high unity and the spirit of hard work, creativity, daring to break through, pioneering, helping the province overcome difficulties, rising to become the leading province in the country in terms of socio-economic development speed as well as urbanization speed. The achievements achieved quite comprehensively in all fields in 40 years of innovation with the country and 28 years of Binh Duong's construction and development have created a solid foundation for the province to continue to successfully implement the goals and tasks in the term 2025-2030, building Binh Duong into a centrally-run city by 2030.

Resolution 24-NQ/TW dated October 7, 2022 of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Southeast region to 2030, with a vision to 2045, defines the general goal as: The Southeast becomes a dynamically developing region with high economic growth rate, the largest growth driver in the country; a center of science - technology and innovation, high-tech industry, logistics and a highly competitive international financial center in the region; a pioneer in innovating growth models, digital transformation, building digital government, digital economy, digital society; rapidly developing a smart and modern urban system.

Of the mentioned, Binh Duong province belongs to two economic sub-regions, the North and the Central. The North sub-region includes Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc provinces and the northern area of ​​Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces, which is the economic development zone of border gates, logistics, and expanding the industrial development space of the region. The central sub-region includes Ho Chi Minh City, the southern area of ​​Binh Duong province and the southwest of Dong Nai province, which is the development center of the entire region, with strengths in high-tech and specialized industry, high-quality services, education - training, healthcare and international trade hub.

With a strong infrastructure foundation after 28 years of construction and development, along with specific goals and solutions in Resolution 24 of the Politburo as well as the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Binh Duong will fully exploit its advantages for rapid and sustainable development. In particular, the province will strive to be a leader in science - technology and innovation, becoming a modern industrial and service center; developing a synchronous, smart, sustainable socio-economic infrastructure system and urban system according to the green growth model, adapting to climate change, protecting the ecological environment; improving the quality of life of the people, building a prosperous and happy society.
