“Building the family with 5 Without-s and 3 Clean-s” campaign promoted

Provincial Women’s Union has actively promoted the “Building the family with 5 Without-s and 3 Clean-s” campaign launched by the Vietnam Women’s Union among officials and members. After five-year implementation, it has contributed to effectively realizing the movement of “All people unite to build cultural life” in the province.

Attaching special importance to propaganda, mobilization

Provincial Women’s Union has concretized the campaign’s contents in line with each locality and each branch for better implementation and attached special importance to propaganda, mobilization work. As a result, more than 90% of members have registered to realize the campaign’s contents “5 Without-s: Without poverty, law violation and social evils, domestic violence, giving birth to the third child or more, having malnourished and school drop-out children; 3 Clean-s: Clean house, kitchen and surrounding lanes”.

The Women’s Union of My Phuoc ward in Ben Cat town making environmental hygiene

The Women’s Union of An Thoi ward in Ben Cat town has concretized the campaign’s contents by setting up a club “Happy family” at quarter 3B with 25 members. The club has made dissemination about building hygienic toilets, using clean water and ensuring food safety and hygiene…among members. The club’s propaganda topics have also focused on poverty reduction, traffic safety, domestic family prevention, environmental protection…In addition, it has developed a fund of more than VND10mln, which was used to provide loans for 10 women to develop home based business and 2 of whom rose up out of the poverty.

Phan Hong Man, Chairwoman of Thoi Hoa communal Women’s Union said that at each meeting, the local Women’s Union and its affiliates have made dissemination of information about the significance and contents of the campaign among members. They have also got involved in many other actions to promote the campaign. So far, 100% of members have realized the campaign.

For the “Building the family with 5 Without-s and 3 Clean-s” campaign getting in-depth development, provincial Women’s Union has implemented many models in line with each locality and each branch. The campaign has also been associated with criteria of the program on building new rural areas and urban civilization, the movement of “The entire people consolidate to build cultural life in residential areas”…

The campaign’s models like “Women joining hands in building model roads”, “Green space of the association”, “Roads without waste”, “Women and voluntary Saturday”, “Not giving birth to the third child”…have absorbed involvement of a large number of women and contributed to well realizing the local targets on education, health, culture and social order-security.

Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Chairwoman of provincial Women’s Union said that after five-year implementation, the campaign of “Building the family with 5 Without-s and 3 Clean-s” has created pervasive influence and actually gone into the life of each official and member.

To continue effectively implementing the campaign, provincial Women’s Union will speed up propaganda work; maintain effective models, helping members get access to legal knowledge, build up happy families, take good care of children…Each happy family will contribute to building up a better and better rural image.
