Striving to fulfill support policies for ex-youth volunteers

*Get-together marks 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Youth Volunteer Force

A ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of the Vietnamese Youth Volunteer Force (July 15, 1950-July 15, 2020) took place in Ha Noi on the morning of July 14.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Politburo member, Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education Vo Van Thuong; Head of the PCC’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai; Chairman of Vietnam Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association; First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Le Quoc Phong; representatives of ministries, sectors and central agencies; leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee over periods together with numerous officials, members of the Vietnam Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association.

The PM affirmed that Vietnam’s youth volunteer force made contributions to the cause of national liberation. He also asked the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, the Vietnam Ex-Youth Volunteers’ Association, and related agencies to better care for the lives of ex-youth volunteers and promote the operational efficiency of the force in the new era…

*Early July 14, provincial Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association in collaboration with its branch in Dau Tieng district held a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of the Vietnamese Youth Volunteer Force at the Monument and Temple of the Youth Volunteer Force in Thanh Tuyen commune.

At the event, provincial Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnam’s youth volunteer force over the past 70 years. The force made contributions to the cause of national defence and construction. Over the past time, provincial Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association also implemented support policies for members, helping them  overcome difficulties and rise up in life.

On this occasion, provincial Youth Union handed over a house of compassion to Le Thi Dan, member of Dau Tieng district’s Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association in need of housing. The work was funded by the Youth Unions of provincial Police Agency and Military Bank’s Binh Duong branch. Provincial Youth Union also offered 18 gifts worth VND1million to needy members of the local Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association. Provincial  Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association awarded 10 mementoes “War veteran following Uncle Ho’s teachings” of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association; presented the certificates of merit of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Ex-Youth Volunteers ‘Association to 3 collectives, 7 individuals  with excellent achievements to the association and honored 80 outstanding ex-youth volunteers.
