200 gifts donated the poor in Lai Son island commune

Provincial Red Cross Society, Sen Vang charity kitchen and Hoa Sen charity club, on June 23, held a delegation to visit and present gifts to poor people on Lai Son island in Lai Son commune’s Kien Hai district in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.

In the visiting place, the delegation extended best regards to the local poor people while encouraging them to try to overcome difficulties, further defending national sovereignty over sea and islands. On this occasion, the delegation presented 200 gifts to poor households, 1 set of computer and 2 scholarships to orphans together with 7 scholarships for poor-but-excellent pupils.

The program has a total expense of VND87.25million, funded by Hoa Sen charity club, Sen Vang charity kitchen and the family of Nguyen Minh Tien in Phu Tho ward.
