Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention of Gender-based Violence 2019 launched

Provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women, On November 15, held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention of Gender-based Violence 2019 under the theme of “Elimination of violence against women and children”.

Speaking at the ceremony, Le Minh Quoc Cuong, Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that this was the first activity in a series of activities to call for authorities at all levels, agencies, organizations, families and individuals to join hands in eliminating discrimination against women, contributing to successfully realizing provincial plan for gender equality between 2016 and 2020.

At the ceremony, leader of TDM city’s Women’s Union also gave a speech in response to the action month. Lecturer of HCM city Cadre Academy had a talk show on gender equality in the political field with participating delegates.
