Binh Duong builds field hospitals with standards of the Ministry of Health

According to the assessment of the Ministry of Health, field hospitals in Binh Duong meet standards and requirements of the ministry. Putting two more Covid-19 patient treatment areas into operation shows the great determination of Binh Duong province’s Party and government in the fight against the pandemic. Right from the treatment area on the 1st floor, beds are arranged with oxygen tanks for patients, showing that the province has prepared very carefully to be able to take care of patients in the best conditions.

According to Prof-Dr. Thuan, the birth of the 2 field hospitals has showed  the drastic participation of the political system as well as the solidarity and consensus from the people and businesses in the province to quickly build field hospitals with standards of the Ministry of Health for treatment of Covid-19 patients. In the process of building field hospitals, provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control discussed with experts from the Ministry of Health to build a standard model, including 3 treatment floors, division of disease cases from minor to severe levels

“Especially, we are very impressive with the province’s careful investment in material facilities and personnel. The province has prepared enough conditions to deal with the situation that if patients on the 1st floor have severe symptoms, they will be given oxygen immediately without having to move to the 2nd floor. That shows that the province has prepared conditions very urgently but meticulously, carefully to contribute to the treatment and care of patients in the best conditions," said Prof.Dr.Thuan.

Also according to Prof. Dr. Thuan, the Ministry of Health has mobilized 1,324 medical staff from other provinces and cities to support Binh Duong and is currently deploying additional 600 medical staff to continue helping the province in active treatment for Covid-19 patients. In this period, Binh Duong needs to take advantage of the time to implement the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 16  to quickly "separate" F0 cases from the community, tightly protect the "green zone", tightly circle the "red zone", gradually narrowing the “red zone” and expanding the “green zone”.

Prof.-Dr. Thuan also said that the province also needs to uphold the role of the Covid safety teams in enterprises to strengthen inspection, supervision and screening of workers to find and separate F0 cases from factories. In addition, the province needs to strictly implement Covid-19 prevention and control among businesses. If not ensuring safety, enterprises are not allowed to work.

Up to now, the province has had a total of 4 field hospitals capable of collecting and receiving 10,300 Covid-19 patients for treatment. They include Binh Duong No. 1 field hospital at WTC Expo in Binh Duong new city in  Thu Dau Mot city’s Hoa Phu ward with 1,500 beds; the second facility of  Binh Duong No. 1 field hospital in the factory area of BW Industrial Development Joint Stock Company (BWID) with 5,300 beds; Binh Duong No. 3 field hospital  at Viet Duc University in Ben Cat town’s Thoi Hoa ward, with 3,000 beds; the field hospital 5B at the National Defense and Security Education Center in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Loi ward, with capacity of receiving and treating about 500 mild Covid-19 patients. Provincial People's Committee has also decided to establish the field hospital No. 4, which is expected to be located at Hoang Hung Company in Bau Bang district with 3,000 - 5,000 beds. Thus, if this hospital is established, it will increase the capacity of receiving and treating F0 cases from 13,300 to 15,300 cases.
