Binh Duong ranks second at southeastern all ages chess tournament

Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just hosted the 2019 Southern All Ages Chess Tournament, with the participation of more than 160 athletes from provinces and cities, namely Binh Duong, Dac Nong, Ninh Thuan, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Tay Ninh and HCM city.

Finally, the organizers awarded first, second and third prizes to female and male athletes in the age groups of U9, U11, U15…In the team rankings, first prize went to Ba Ria-Vung Tau with 7 gold medals, 3 bronze medals. The host team Binh Duong grasped second prize with 4 gold medals, 12 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. Third prize belonged to HCM city’s district 12 with 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal.

The tournament was a chance for southern localities to develop their chess movement while tightening solidarity among them…
