City’s open chess tournament attracts over 300 players

On the afternoon of April 13, Thu Dau Mot city’s Center for Culture and Sports kicked off the second open traditional age groups chess tournament at Dai Nam Tourism Complex.

This year’s tournament absorbs more than 300 chess players from 9 provinces and cities in the southern, Mekong Delta and Central Highlands region. They will compete in age groups from 7 to 13 and open of men and women’s singles and team events in the blitz and standard categories.

The tournament aims to promote the chess movement of the region in general and of Thu Dau Mot city in particular.
