Dat Cuoc is changing

Over the past years, North Tan Uyen district’s Dat Cuoc commune bent on taking solutions, attached special importance to collective economic models, boosted industrial manufacture, trade-services and rural traffic…, thereby contributing to the local economic development.

Thanks to the attention and support of the local administration, Nguyen Van Binh in Dat Cuoc commune’s Suoi Voi hamlet has bravely developed the model of breeding ducks in an air-conditioned system with the annual income of more than VND150million. Like him, many other households have not only risen up out of poverty and but also got rich.

The commune also focused on upgrading infrastructure works over the past time, facilitating the local people’s travelling and trade activities, greatly changing the local rural image. In addition, the commune attached special importance to giving support policies on loan, sci-tech application, breeding animals and nurslings with high yield for the local farmers. The commune has so far developed more than 1,800 hectares of rubber trees and 80 hectares of citrus fruit trees. In terms of animal husbandry, the commune created favorable conditions for locals to take part in training courses; implemented vaccination under the set plan. The whole commune is now home to 10 models on animal husbandry with large scale and around 15,000 cattle and poultry heads from small farms.

The commune also strengthened economic collective models over the past time. Currently, the whole commune has 1 cooperative and 3 cooperative groups. They have worked very effectively, generating stable jobs for members. In 2020, Nhat Phuoc cooperative reached VND1.5billion in revenue. Each member’s average income was VND 9million-VND10million per month. Whilst, the annual income of the chicken breeding cooperative group in Suoi Sau hamlet was more than VND230million.

To be in line with the trend of development, the commune concentrated on making the shift of the local economic structure towards the growth of industrial manufacture, trade-services. The commune has to date absorbed 119 enterprises, production facilities, generating jobs for many laborers. Dat Cuoc industrial park now has 55 enterprises in operation. The commune is also home to 407 households getting involved in trading-services, up 39 compared to 2019.

Pham Ngoc Uy, Chairman of Dat Cuoc commune said that thanks to solutions on economic development implemented in a synchronous way, the average income of the local people has so far gained VND65.8million per year. In the coming time, the communal People’s Committee will further oversee the local agricultural production; make a plan against epidemic diseases, a plan on vaccination in cattle and poultry; continue mobilizing for the establishment of new cooperatives, cooperative groups, contributing to diversifying the local economic sectors; attach special importance to fostering industrial manufacture, trade-services; well realize State management on land, natural resources-environment, construction; upgrade rural traffic works…, thereby raising the average income of people to VND66.5million per year.
